Hit a milestone of sorts today - I sold enough parts off the Golf that it is now essentially a free car. I promised my wife that I would do it, and I have.
I've been parting out my other project car (a 1980 Rabbit) on ebay, and have $700 from that endeavor. Once I hit $1000 I plan on purchasing a Peloquin limited slip differential, which as far as I can tell is a knock off of the English Quaife torsen LSD. A buddy who is a mechanic has offered to help with the teardown and rebuild, which is nice. I may do the synchronisers and some of the bearings while I am at it to freshen up the 190,000 mile gearbox a little.
