Headliner Mangina

So, turns out the MkII headliners have a styrofoam backing - the windshield had been replaced at some point and the windshield sealant had glued it to the frame of the car. I snapped a piece off where it was glued.

Anyone have ideas for sticking it back together? My wife suggested a hot glue gun.
