The old engine's out, and it's a grimy mess. A decent amount of powerwashing should clean everything up. I'm excited - once I removed the front bumper and subframe it was a pretty simple process to get it out - I was even able to finagle the exhaust header out by angling the engine with the shop crane's load leveler.
I was concerned that the old accessories (especially the alternator and power steering pump) wouldn't bolt up to the new engine, but it looks like all the threaded holes in the new block are there. I've been wating quite a while to make this happen - looks like it's really starting to happen!
